It is with great sadness that we have to report that our wonderful friend and colleague Neil Jameson has died suddenly. Neil was standing for election to West Devon Borough Council and was nominated to be our general election candidate.
But Neil was much more than a Green Party activist. He was the founder of Citizens UK, the organisation that works on many projects to help the disadvantaged in society. He was also an instrumental force in setting up the Living Wage Campaign, and was Executive Chair of UK Welcomes Refugees, supporting and aiding refugees in the United Kingdom
Neil always supported those fleeing danger in their home countries, often challenging the Government’s asylum and migration policy. He will be hugely missed by us in West Devon Green Party, and by the many thousands whose lives he has changed.
