“I have a much-loved smallholding in West Devon and care passionately about the local environment and community. I am standing in Hatherleigh as we want to give people an alternative to the Conservatives. Hatherleigh is a lovely town with great potential, but we need fresh voices on the Council to help us progress.”

“As a smallholder in West Devon I’ve noticed how changing farming practices impact pollinator insects but recognise farmers’ vital role in our food supply. Having been a researcher in waste management, I’m determined to increase our capacity for recycling the widest range of materials as locally as possible.”

“I’m a retired doctor who practised in Okehampton. Having lived and worked locally I understand the issues that affect people’s lives in the area and will always be available to support local people. I am concerned that climate change isn’t seriously addressed by the other parties.  We can’t wait any longer.”

South Tawton – Lynn Daniel

“I’ve been an elected West Devon Borough councillor since 2019 and worked hard to represent my local community. Tamarside - Matt Faith

“I’m a PhD researcher at the University of Plymouth, where I focus on how climate change could affect our marine ecosystems. Tavistock North - Terry Wheeler

“I want to improve outcomes for people who use mental health services. I will support the railway returning to Tavistock and the development of sustainable, energy-efficient and affordable social housing - creating communities with their own amenities. I live in Tavistock and am well aware of the issues and good things we have locally.”

Tavistock South East - Amy Hookway

Amy Hookway

“Hello!   I’ve lived in the local area all my life, raising a family, and I’m currently a mature Biology student learning about the importance of the natural world. I love Tavistock, but think we need some different faces on the Council to help make urgent improvements to our community.”
