West Devon Green Party covers a vast area from Hatherleigh in the North West of Dartmoor to Bere Ferris in the South West, Lifton in the West and Chagford in the East. We cover the same area as West Devon Borough Council. We also cover two Parliamentary Constituencies; West Devon and Torridge as well as Central Devon.
We campaign on local, national and international issues and look to stand candidates in both local and general elections.
As a member, you can be as active as you like - from armchair and online support to standing as a candidate for election. For more information, please contact Sara Palmer (Membership Secretary) by email.
Students: Join the Green Party for just £6 a year!
Even if you don't want to make the commitment of joining us, we always welcome supporters and volunteers. Volunteers can help with our campaigning work. Could you help deliver leaflets to your street, or go out with our campaign team and speak to local residents about their concerns? Do you have a window or garden that you would be willing to put a poster in? We also need volunteers to help out at our weekly stall in Bedford Square, Tavistock on a Tuesday as well as at any of our public events.
Do you have fundraising experience or web design, press, research and administrative skills? Are you a musician? A film maker or photographer? Whatever your level of experience and however much or little time you can give, we would love to hear from you.
Contact us for more information about the ways in which you can get involved with the Green movement.
We will be putting in place soon the means to donate electronically to the West Devon Green Party. You can also send a cheque by contacting Malcolm Calder via email
Over the next few years we aim to expand the number of Green Party councillors on the local Borough and County Councils so that they can make a difference and be a voice for the real opinions of their communities. We are always looking for enthusiastic, committed and hard-working candidates and are particularly keen to ensure diversity amongst our candidates.
If you are interested in standing for us in your area please get in touch with Lynn Daniel (Elections Agent) via email . Candidates must be paid-up members of the Green Party and support its main aims and policies. To join the Green Party either get in touch with us or apply online here.
If you're interested in a fairer, greener society why not sign up for regular news and campaign updates from the Green Party? Don't worry, we'll keep your details safe and won't pass them on to anyone else.
